The Chevy Small Block was introduced in 1955 it was 265 cu in then later grew to 283 then the 327 came along. That is when Chevy hit it right outta the ballpark. From 1962 to 1969 the 327 was offered in many different versions with the highest being 375 horse for the fuel injection versions. Now that is amazing for only 327 cubic inches. The 1970 LT-1 350 was only at 370 so again the 327 was quite the motor.
