1976 Trans Am Cold Idle// Video Pontiac Firebird Trans Am 400 4 spd black and gold.. It was a rare day in South Florida an nice chilly 52 degrees out.. At 6 am in the morning it was just a beautiful day and a great day to take the Trans Am Out..

Now I don’t know if it’s just me but there is something about a muscle car when it’s idling in chilly to cold weather. Either it’s the cam or the kind of exhaust you have on it.. Or maybe it’s just quiet all around you and that exhaust crackle just sounds 1000 time more awesome on that day.. But me being from the northeast I really miss that when I am in south florida.. I really do .. Now I love my 1972 Impala but let’s face it the exhaust on that is all stock and original as to the day it left the factory.. Very Quiet and boring but if it ain’t broke don’t fix it..

Not the previous owner had the single outlet removed so the car has true dual exhaust with a crossover. But he added cherry bombs to it I never liked them. But I gotta admit I do like the way this car sounds.. It’s not annoying like all the others I have heard.. I remember back in the day this kids who had Z28s and Trans Ams would cut slits in the resonators to make it sound loud..

Yeaaaa Ummmm No I remember thinking what awesome looking cars.. But man do they sound terrible .. After enough teasing they fixed to exhausts back to the way they should be.. Hey it was the 80s and there were speed parts but not like today headers were awesome but not many cool sounding performance mufflers around.. You had Sears and Mufflex you were actually better off cutting holes in your mufflers lol.. Cherry Bombs were like the hottest things out but as I said I never really liked them..
