Corvette Pulled From Lake By Scuba Divers
Now before anything is said it is an 1980 to 1982 Corvette I had and ’80 and to be honest I would of dumped it in the friggin river as well. One of the worst engineered cars I have ever owned. And the most expensive to get parts for and this was back in 1997 when I had mine !…
The story I have gotten from another article and this video.. Is that this Corvette like many back in the day was stolen or just dumped in the river for Insurance fraud and the owner left the Country. Now I’m going to go with Insurance Job these cars were 15 to 18 thousand dollars as a base price.. The 1982 Collectors Edition was friggin 22 thousand and that was before the dealers raised the prices..
And this was the early 80s many people were buying cars then getting laid off because many businesses were failing and the economy was so bad .
Now they pulled this Corvette and 5 other cars including a Jaguar and Grand Am. The Sheriffs department actually found the Corvette 3 years ago but were unable to pull the car up out of the water. According to the video they only had a tow truck..
The Video is actually pretty cool because it shows you how they got the car outta its watery grave..
To be Honest when I drive around the country I see abandoned cars all the time. Not to mention a few shady people I sorta kinda maybe knew back in Jersey growing up were always telling stories this person or that person dumping a car in the Passiac River or some other place in Jersey. Not to mention in Florida they are always pulling a car out of a canal.
Hell when my sister used to work for an Insurance company back in the 80s they were always catching morons in the act of getting rid of a car they could not afford anymore sad but true it happens. That is one of the excuses Insurance companies use to raise our rates today with so.. We all know its corporate greed so..
Anyways the video is kinda long but again pretty cool to watch..
