1976 Pontiac Trans Am Circuit Board
Firebird Instrument Cluster Circuit Board, For Cars With Factory Gauges, 1974-1979..
Oh Hell Yes I finally ordered it after one year of pure laziness ! I had to order The circuit board that fits on the back of your gauges for my 1976 Pontiac Trans Am that are in your trusty dashboard ! Now do to age the contacts get very brittle, dusty and all that other good stuff. Now when I got my Trans Am a year ago the gas gauge and temperature gauges were bad . So I ordered them through Classic Firebird when then came in a week later. I was happy as all hell and put them in.
But when it came time for me to take off the circuit board one of the contacts were broken and it was just beyond dusty and dirty. So I put it back together got the gas gauge to work but not the temperature gauge. I’m thinking the circuit board where it was really dusty is the problem ..
So…
As long as it wasn’t overheating and the other gauges worked I was good for now. When I first looked it up last year it was only 40 bucks. Well things change in a year . I looked it up again a year later and it was now like 82 bucks and on sale for like 70 bucks. I needed it this time so I got it from Ecklers (Click Here For More Parts)
Now first and foremost if you plan to order one there are many different ones. With or without idiot lights, Tachometer of no Tachometer and a few more I just can’t remember. So do your research and ask stupid questions, to sure you order the right park
It came in a little under a week and now all I gotta do is just find the friggin time to do it . But it’s so easy to do the only thing I do not like is having to drop the steering column. You would think that they would have designed it better but no.
Maybe I will do a little video on it to show those who have no idea what I am talking about ..
Anyways I gotta get some sleep hopefully I’ll be able to get this stuff over soon !
