1976 Trans Am Cruising Around
1976 Pontiac Trans Am Morning Drive.
I have waited over 20 years for this car. And I drive it every chance I get. you might even say yes it is my daily driver. I mean I still use the Impala. But now since I put the 3:23 gears back in. I can now go where I want and whenever I want. Without using as much gas as I used to. Then what made the morning even more perfect. Is that one of my most favorite songs by Paul Hardcastle, Rainforest .. Came on and just brought me back to the summer of 1985.
The Song.
It was the summer of 1985 and I was spending the summer in Hollywood Florida. Well I was here since 1984 actually I had to spend 8th grade there. Long Story moving right along. When I first heard this song I had lost alotta weight I was kinda a fat kid. When I first arrived here so I was on my BMX bike and stopped at the local 7-11 down the street. It was friggin hot as hell and I got a Slurpee and I just was standing there when this song came on.
It just mesmerized me from the start and I went into a trance just staring across the street. I loved every second of this song I just could not describe. Not this was the time when you had the big guns on the radio. Duran Duran, The Police and many others. So it kinda wasn’t fair this song needed more airplay in my own opinion. It just never got it and it’s just a big shame too. It is honestly a really good song that just takes you away from everything.
