1978 Trans Am Interior Why But I Like It
1978 Trans Am Interior Why ? But I Like It. Sorry the picture is a bit blurry .I was so damn excited to take the picture lol. Now I’m thinking this car was probably all rusted out. Or really needed a lot of work I’ll admit they did a shotty job on parts of the car. But nothing I can’t fix in the long run. I still do not know why they would put a 1978 interior in the car. Maybe they figured that since they were putting the front end on. Who knows but I do know the dashboard is original. I’ve had it apart to replace the Fuel Gauge and the Oil Pressure Temp Gauge.
I’m not complaining one bit. They did an awesome job on the interior. It’s brand new really you cannot argue with that. There is still little odds and ends to be done. But I really bought the car because I miss working on them. And to tell the truth I forgot a lot but it’s all coming back to me. The only thing is that the dome light wasn’t working. Then one day it decided to and that was it. Hasn’t come back on since lol but I’m hopeful.
Now he did give me a lot of extra parts. And the way I hit things well they were needed. I even got an extra brand new dashboard but without the handle. Mine has the dashboard handle so I don’t know what he was friggin thinking. But again not to slam the guy. But he really did not know much about cars. I mean he did not even have the fuel filter in the car when he tried to start it for me. Yes I know but that is another matter and we are talking about the interior here.
Eventually I will put the 1976 Interior back in. because that is what I really wanted a 1976 Trans Am. But for now I will enjoy it as it is and she is not for sale anyway.
